easy resin pendant ideas

Looking for some resin jewelry ideas for your next project? Well, you’re in the right place. Because not only can you make all of these ideas, even if you’re a resin beginner, but you can do it with one resin mold.

Supply list:

10 cavity pendant mold for casting resin pendants
Resin Obsession super clear resin
Resin Obsession resin colors in transparent and opaque colors
Assorted glitters and micas
Shaved ice
Gold leaf gilding flakes
Pearl Ex powders in complimentary colors
Stickers, charms, beads and other found items
Mixing cups and stir stix

You can make these resin jewelry ideas all at once using one mold, but nothing is stopping you from taking your time and only doing a few at a time.

💡 Pro tip:  When you’re using a mold to make jewelry, you want to use a casting jewelry resin to ensure you get bubble-free results.  The Resin Obsession super clear resin is perfect for these pendants. It easily releases bubbles after mixing, plus it cures hard and durable in 12 hours.

1.  Resin pendant with glass beads

Mix super clear resin.  To that, add a variety of complementary colored and shaped glass beads.  Add to a mold cavity.  Pour more resin on top as necessary to fill in the gaps.  Allow to cure.

2.  Ombre rainbow pendant

Mix super clear resin and divide it into two cups.  Color with two complementary colors of Pearl Ex powder.  Pour into a resin mold cavity at opposite ends at the same time and allow it to blend in the center.  Set aside to cure.

3.  Beach starfish pendant

Layer 1:  Mix super clear resin.  Add a starfish charm or beach shell to the resin.  Allow to cure.

Layer 2:  Mix another batch of super clear resin.  Combine with beach sand and add as the second layer of the resin pendant.  Let fully cure.

4.  Glitter and lips pendant

5.  Love pendant

Layer 1:  Mix super clear resin.  Fill the bottom half of a silicone resin mold cavity.  Add in stickers and square block charms with letters that spell L-O-V-E.  (A name would be cute here as well.) Allow to cure.

Layer 2:  Mix more super clear resin and color with transparent red pigment.  Add in red glitter to give it some sparkle.  Pour into the mold and allow to cure.

We’re only halfway through the list of resin jewelry ideas.  Ready for more?

6.  Gold leaf pendant

Mix super clear resin and pour to almost fill the entire mold cavity.  Add in gold leaf.  Add more resin as necessary to push the leaf into the resin.  Let cure.

7.  Frosted design pendant

Trim a piece of vellum paper to match your mold cavity.

Layer 1:  Mix a batch of super clear resin.  Dip the paper in the resin, then place it into the mold.  Allow to cure.

Layer 2:  Mix another batch of resin and color with transparent purple resin pigment plus a small amount of pearl powder.  Pour as the second layer of the pendant and allow to cure.

Note:  I used vellum paper because it will go translucent in the resin and doesn’t require sealing.

8.  Glitter pendant

Mix super clear resin and pour it into a mold cavity.  Once the resin has gel cured (not liquid, but not solid), add glitter to the back.  (The glitter will stick to the resin, but not sink.) Allow curing.

9. Sparkles pendant

Layer 1:  Mix a batch of super clear resin.  Add in a small amount of fine glitter.  Add to a silicone mold cavity and allow to cure.

Layer 2:  Mix another batch of super clear resin and color in a complementary opaque resin color.  Pour onto the back of the first layer and let cure.

10.  Faux opal pendant

  1. Hi –
I saw your video for this mold. My questions is how did you get the backs of the pendants so glossy and rounded. Add another layer of resin? Grind and polish?
    Thanks!

  2. I LOVE that faux opal one especially 😍, and now I have another use for that giant jar of ice shard opalescent glitter I picked up recently for this exact reason but couldn’t find a good beginner tutorial until now, so thank you! I work with polymer clay also so this is right up my alley. They play so nicely together ❤
