Hi everyone,
I’m trying to perfect my old-fashioned cocktails at home and want to make my own cocktail syrup instead of using plain simple syrup. I’ve been experimenting with different sugars and flavors, and I’m curious how to craft the perfect old fashioned mix that balances sweetness, bitterness, and aromatic notes.
Some recipes use brown sugar, demerara, or maple syrup, sometimes with spices like cinnamon, clove, or orange peel. How long can homemade syrup be stored, and does it keep well in the fridge? Any tips, favorite recipes, or tweaks you’ve found effective would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
