I am beginning to consider using my beach glass collected from beaches through Canada, U.S.and Europe to create a design on the glass in an old window frame. My question is, since my design is on the outer areas of the glass of the window only, leaving the centre clear, what can I use to prevent the epoxy resin from running into the centre?
So, trying to answer my own question… if I took caulking, and created a sort of dam in the shape I wanted to keep the resin from flowing into, would that work? Could I peel the caulking away after though?
I saw an acrylic painting that was sealed then had what looked like thick resin drizzled haphazardly on top. I loved the effect, but since resin self-levels I can’t figure out how it was done. Any thoughts?
