I’m trying to use Easy Mold (and there easycast epoxy resin) by Casting Craft for the first time and I’m getting nothing but tiny air bubbles on the surface (inside as well) of the finished cast. I’ve tried to mold a toy car of my son’s and a small figurine. I have followed the instructions to the letter and it still happens, more than once. What could I be doing wrong? Ambient temperature?..surface dirt?..I did wipe objects clean.. Could the product have outlived it’s shelf life or just be inferior? Either way I’m not impressed and disappointed as well because I’m wasting expensive resin and putty. Has anyone here experienced this with this product? What would cause these “excessive” bubbles to form on the finished surface of my castings? I’m trying to use transparent dyes with there (Casting Craft’s) resin AND mold material and I would think there products would be compatible with each other but apparently not. the mold putty seemed to be in good condition from the store and the resin as well so I am at a loss for the flaw in this product or my technique which brings me here. Would like to here any opinions, thoughts, or solutions to this issue and again I appreciate any answers, thanks.

P.S. What other low odor molding product could you recommend?..

      Hi Chris,

It sounds like you need to bake your final mold. Sometimes there is trapped air in the mold that can come out into your resin.
