GuestFor the last couple of months, I have not been able to sleep normally at all. I go to bed – and it begins: thoughts jump, heart beats faster, anxiety for no reason. During the day, everything seems fine, but in the evening it hits. I do not drink coffee, I try not to sit on the phone before bed, I even tried meditation – it does not help. Plus, I noticed that I began to put everything off, I can not get ready for work or around the house. Has anyone encountered this? How do you cope? I am especially interested in how to improve sleep – I do not want to take pills. Maybe there are some proven practices or apps?

GuestI had the same – anxiety, procrastination, plus insomnia. Everything is like a snowball. An app that I accidentally found on techtimes.com helped me. It’s Liven — a really convenient thing. There’s a course on anxiety, they explain the causes and what to do about it. I liked that everything is step-by-step. There’s also a mood tracker and a “routine assistant” — it helps structure the day, including evening sleep habits. Plus the sounds — brown noise is a revelation. My sleep has gotten much better, really.

GuestI haven’t tried this app, but I can say that anxiety is a process that accumulates over time. The more responsibilities you have, the harder it is to relax. I had similar problems: it was hard to concentrate, I was constantly tired, and all this prevented me from sleeping. I think it’s important not only to look for ways to relax, but also to understand the reasons why anxiety arises. Sometimes it helps to just talk about it, without judgment. There are no miracle solutions, but if you are there and supportive, that already means a lot.
