Recently I had a problem with some jewelry I made. For the jewelry open bezels, i have a really bad result. The resin isn’t sticky but when you put it on skin it becomes “cloudy”. I can’t use them. Do you know how can I avoid this problem ? Maybe my mixing wasn’t enought ?

What kind/brand of resin are you using? Have you had success with this resin in other projects?

I use the cristal resin gédéo of the pebeo brand as you can see on the link below

I used this resin in several other projects like sphere molds and i never had any problem excepted with this kind of jewels.

Does it go back to clear again once you remove it from the skin?

Could it be picking up the texture of the tape?

I don’t think so, because I put another resin coat after removing tape. And I have the problem with both sides,

It looks like it is taking up moisture. I see you are casting something inside like a flower. Was it dried before including it in the resin?

Yes, I include some plants and flowers, but all is completely dried before I put it in the resin, and I don’t have any problems with other jewels like sphere. The cloudy effect is at the surface of the bezels, after contact (for about at least some hours) with skin.

Then perhaps it’s something with moisture or oils on the skin? Have you asked Pebeo what they think?
