      Hello!

I’ve been using resin molds to make coasters and putting photos in them (glossy prints). For some reason, ALL 4/4 of the projects have some bare spots that are uncovered where the photo is placed — the spots are on top of the photo. Sometimes they are small tiny circles that make it look like bubbles, and other times it’s an uneven blob shape. I can feel the surface was not even reached with resin when running my finger over it. Is this because I place my photo down before pouring any layer of resin? Should I pour some resin and then add the photo in? Thanks!

      Hi Jenny,

It sounds like you are trapping bubbles underneath your picture. Try dipping the picture in resin, then putting it into your mold. This article shows how: https://resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/keepsake-artwork-pendant-tutorial/
