I have a pot I would like to use the Japanese kintsuki method to repair, using your epoxy product.

Can I mix gold-like powder with it, and will it hold pottery shards together (just for decoration – the pot is a Jemenez indian pot.)

Can the epoxy be painted on to the shard edges, would it stay liquid long enough to put the shards together, and be strong enough to hold the shards together?

I have only used epoxy from Home Depot for large projects, this would be a first time for something refined.

      Many thanks.

      Hi Carole,

First off, I am not familiar with the kintsuki method, but I can certainly help with using resin.

Yes, you can mix metallic powders with the Resin Obsession super clear resin and it will work like a glue to hold things together. It is a casting resin, however, and will mix thinly. https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession-super-clear-resin

Since it sounds like you want to use the resin as a glue, have you considered a 5 minute epoxy?
