Greetings, does anyone know a material that will cleanly pull away from resin but is shape-able on the spot? For example, I had a silicone mold that was open on one side and I wanted to close the gap with some (non sulfur) based clay. Yes, it sort of worked – but getting the clay out of the piece was a real mess. I’ve heard that silly putty might work? Looking for something I can shape with the fingers when needed. Many thanks!

Yes, try silly putty. The resin won’t stick to wax either. I would suggest using the wax that jewelers use to create wax models for lost wax casting.

Great idea, I didn’t think of wax – will give it a try. Thank you!

      Did the wax work well?
