I am wanting to color my project a hue of purple. I am using Castin’ Craft Polyester Resin and wondering how to achieve a transparent final product. The Castin’ Craft website has a chart for colors but it is a bit confusing to me. I was thinking about using the Ice Resin Tint as it is already pre-mixed with purple. What product would you recommend I use? Thanks for the help.

I have not tried ICE resin tints with polyester resin and don’t know how well they would work.

Instead, I would use the Resin Obsession transparent purple pigment. How transparent will the color be? I would like to embed a sand dollar and still see the details.

It will mix totally transparent. Use as little as color as possible for the color to be light enough to see the sand dollar through.
