I’ve been struggling with my home network for a while now. My router is on one side of the house, but my work setup is on the other. Wi-Fi works, but I get random dropouts, especially when multiple people are streaming or gaming. I looked into Ethernet extenders, but I’m not sure if they’re actually better than just using a good Wi-Fi system. I’d rather have a stable connection than just a fast one. Has anyone here tried both? Which one worked better for you?

I totally get what you mean. I had a similar issue when I was setting up an office in my garage. Wi-Fi was spotty, and even with a mesh system, I still had connection drops. I ended up going with an Ethernet extender because I needed reliability more than convenience. If you’re wondering how far you can go with an ong ethernet cable , this might help. In my case, running a cable wasn’t an option, but the extender gave me a rock-solid connection without dealing with interference. If stability is your priority, I’d definitely lean toward an extender.

When choosing between Ethernet extenders and Wi-Fi for a stable network, it’s important to consider factors like range, speed, and reliability. I was looking for a tool to help monitor network performance and analyze traffic, and that’s when I found – https://setapp.com/app-reviews/wireshark-for-mac-alternatives . This service provided me with an excellent alternative for tracking and diagnosing network issues. It offers powerful features like packet analysis, which is essential for troubleshooting network problems. Whether you’re using Wi-Fi or Ethernet, it gives a clear overview of your network’s health and helps optimize performance.
