Hi all, 1st post and new to working with resin. Ive been making the broken bottles in glass frames (pouring directly on the glass) I like how this lets me add desired picture to the frame or leave empty for clear effect.

My question is: how do I control coloured resin on a 1st pour to create a slash effect?

I want to use a broken whisky bottle and colour the resin – to make it look like the contents (whisky) of the bottle is surrounding the bottle like its leaked, cure it then final pour clear resin. I can’t work out how to stop the coloured resin spreading without some kind of dam or what to use for the dam?

I considered using silicone caulk, pva glue or hot gun glue then peeling it off but not sure this would work. Its too much cost for UV resin and im not used to working with it yet – so not confident of the process.

      Any tips?

      Thanks in advance.
