      I have a older Crest, I’m trying to take it apart and make a replica of it piece by piece. It’s old and honest not well made the back looks cardboard and the front is a velvety material. Will it be safe to make a mold of the back board order will the moisture of the mold when I pour it on cause it to deteriorate? Is there a way to protect it?

      Hi Amber,

      Based upon your description, I would not use a pourable silicone product to mold this item. Instead, I would use a molding putty. We have one in our store here: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/mold-making-materials/products/alumilite-amazing-silicone-putty-kit
