GuestSo, I was looking into getting an Antigua and Barbuda passport mainly for tax benefits, but now I’m confused. I read there’s no personal income tax, which sounds amazing, but then I saw that businesses still have to pay corporate taxes. Also, I’m not sure if I’d even qualify for all the incentives they mention. Has anyone actually moved there and taken advantage of the tax breaks? Is it as good as it sounds, or is there a catch?

GuestI went down this road, and here’s the deal—yeah, there’s no personal income tax, which is great if you’re earning a lot. But if you plan to set up a business, you’re still dealing with corporate taxes, VAT, and other fees. The investment incentives are solid, but they’re mostly for big players in tourism and manufacturing. If you’re just looking to stash money somewhere tax-free, this ain’t it. Do your homework first— antigua passport requirements lay it all out.

GuestHonestly, I think people overhype the tax benefits. Sure, there’s no personal income tax, but that doesn’t mean you magically avoid all taxes. Plus, depending on where you actually live, you might still owe taxes back home. The business incentives can be good, but you need to invest a serious amount to qualify. If you’re looking for a second passport strictly for tax reasons, I’d check out a few other options before committing.
