I would like to cast a fragile bauble in resin in order to preserve it. I have never cast anything before and need some advice. The ideal situation is to have maybe a 2cm circumference of clear resin around the bauble after casting. The relevant information is:
– The bauble is 16cm by 8cm (or 6.3 inches by 3.15 inches).
– The bauble is elliptical.
– The bauble is glass, hollow and has a crack – it is very fragile!
Is it possible to cast such an object without damaging it? What materials would you recommend? Are there any moulds that would fit this object?
Thanks for any advice,
Matthew
