This question comes through email by Scott:

      Hello –

I was wondering if you could help me with some supplies for a project.  I am trying to encase a belt buckle in epoxy (see image attached).  It is 5 inches long, 3 3/4 wide and 1/4 inch deep.  I am using Easy Cast clear casting epoxy, which is the only stuff i could get my hands on.

Im in need of a mold that this would fit in,  I cant find anything.  Id also like to add some color to the base and perhaps some glitter at the bottom.  Do you have these supplies?

Im totally clueless about all of this, but think it would be a good project to work with my daughter on.

      Thanks.

      Hi Scott,

We have several molds in our paperweight mold section that are large enough to encase the belt buckle.  https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/molds/paperweight

We do have colorants and glitter — https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/colorants — for the project.

I think you will want to pour in two layers, the first being the belt buckle and clear resin and the second being the color and glitter.  I would suggest using the technique used in this tutorial on making a bottle cap resin coaster.  https://www.resinobsession.com/resin-tutorials/how-to-make-a-bottle-cap-resin-coaster/

      Good luck!
