One of my 1st epoxy resin project’s, I forgot to prep the mold with mold release.
Grabbed my hairdryer, heated up the back of the mold for about 30 seconds. And voila! I peeled the resin pendant out with ease.
Not sure if this technique would work with harder resins tho.🤔

Wow. Have used put molds in the freezer, but never tried a hair dryer. Happy to hear it worked out for you!

I used mold release on my bracelet mold, but it still isn’t releasing. It hasn’t completely cured, though. I made the bracelet last night and it’s been about 24 hours. Should I put it in the freezer now or wait until it’s completely cured?

Try the freezer trick once it is completely cured.

So I just used resin in a project for the 1st time. And well I was only needing a drop or 2 of it to go into my pendant. When mixing it though it suggested that you make at least “X” amount. I didn’t want to make that much so I made half of that. Anyway, like I said I really only needed a few drops in my piece and so I was left with a lot of resin and I didn’t want to waste it so I used my mold I had purchased before and it has multiple shapes and such. Well it filled 3 different sizes. Lol I forgot to add a release before I added it!! I was so worried about wasting it and get it poured that I forgot. So it’s been 12 hours now. It says 6 to 12 hours for dry time. But it will not come out. Lol I seen someone said put it in the freezer and I’m trying that now,but it’s not looking like it’s going to work so far anyway. Any suggestions? ? I really don’t want my mold to be ruined and I’d like to keep these pieces in tact if possible. Thanks in advance!
