I’ve got a project in mind that I need some help with. I’ve got a large (5 liter) glass demijohn that I would like to fill with wine corks, stick an upright post into, and use as a base for a wine glass holder. I was thinking that it would be wise to fill the demijohn with a resin cast to add weight down low and hold everything in place nicely. It seems I’m in way over my head though. I’ve got zero experience with this stuff. Seems like the resin will end up costing more than the rest of the whole project and be a pain to fill a bottle that large. The glass is a green tint so absolute clarity isn’t that important. I need something relatively clear, deep pourable (I realize I’ll still probably have to do it in layers), and hopefully cheap(ish) that won’t shrink nor expand while curing. Is this a pipe dream?
