Hi,
I am frustrated with bubbles and have combed the web, youtube, blogs etc. for help. One idea from your site that I want to do is buy a heat gun. What features are necessary in your opinion? They seem to range in price from $15-$75, and have features like variable temperature, cordless, stand or not, etc. I believe in paying more of its necessary but if not why pay more? Any help would be great, Thanks!

In my opinion, the most important features are that the heat gun can blow a lot of heat WITHOUT a lot of force behind the air.  The heat is necessary to pop the bubbles, but too much air force will blow the resin out of your mold.  I purchased mine at a major crafting outlet.  It was designed to shrink wrap plastic around gift baskets.  You can see it in this video on the Resin Obsession youtube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pdObUZVA0I&list=UUq9DbnfK7sFPe9kcUEtVYaQ  Im not quite sure how hot it gets (you turn it on and it gets hot), but it does get HOT.  I could easily burn myself if I turned the heat on myself.

I dont know that a stand is very important provided you have a place you can set it to cool.  Mine isnt cordless; Im fortunate that my crafting area has plugs close by.  Heat without a lot of air force are the most important things to me.
