Hello!

I craft purses from record albums: https://www.etsy.com/shop/reinventedvinyl and can no longer have the album covers UV coated (the end result is like a pocket folder). I’m seeking advice on using resin for coating/sealing the covers after they’re cut.

I also need to drill the cover to use the double-headed rivets.

What resin should I try? Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Tracy,

Based upon your pictures and description (I totally LOVE your purses by the way!), I would try the Resin Obsession crystal doming resin. https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession-crystal-doming-resin It covers in a clear coat and is a doming resin. How well do your purses hold up to normal wear? I ask only because I don’t have a lot of experience with using this resin on “high contact” pieces which I anticipate a purse may be.
