GuestMy kid is 10 and he loves watching math videos on YouTube. I’ve tried talking to him about math, but sometimes he goes beyond my knowledge. The other day he started talking about one-sided polygons in spherical geometry. He doesn’t do calculus or anything, but he seems to think these concepts are cool, and I want to encourage that. I want to hire someone who can do Zoom classes and basically talk to him about whatever YouTube videos he’s recently watched and just help him stay interested.

GuestAt this age, having someone to talk to about any problems your child is having while learning new material is a great way to approach it. The best approach is to build on what your child is already interested in, whether it’s number theory, geometry, or even just cool math tricks. With tutoring for 5th graders https://brighterly.com/5th-grade-math/ your child can discuss based on what they’re passionate about, breaking things down so that they’ll be interested in learning the material even more thoroughly later.
