Hi Cachelle,
Yes, sometimes flowers can be quite delicate. You have a valid concern here! Here’s are a couple of approaches for you to consider:
1. In addition to using the resin gloss sealer spray (in our shop here: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/tools-and-supplies/products/castin-craft-gloss-resin-sealer-spray) to seal flowers, I also like to use it to make flowers stiff. If you put on enough coats, it should give the flower some structural support so that it will stay steady in the resin.
2. If you use a thin viscosity resin (like the Resin Obsession super clear resin — in our store here: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession) it shouldn’t pull on your petals as hard. It mixes closer to a ‘water’ consistency instead of a ‘syrup’ consistency.
3. If you are gentle, your flowers won’t be damaged as much as you think. Mona at CraftKlatch has a good video on your youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_KRBdgTc7U
4. You can cast your flowers in two halves, but you will see a seam line when you join the two halves back together. If you want to use a sphere mold, you may have to cut the part lines open further to get in your flower. Use a rubber band to bring the two halves back together. You can see what I’m talking about in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNSvffZ-il4&t=1s
Please let me know how it goes!
