I came across a boho-style wallpaper in warm red tones and really liked it — thinking of using it for a kitchen accent wall. But is red too overpowering in a space like that? Has anyone used similar designs in busy areas like kitchens or entryways?

I tried something similar in our kitchen dining nook and went with the Boho Red Stamps Self-Adhesive Wallpaper from California Wallpaper. The red tones bring warmth without being too intense, and the boho stamp pattern adds this artisan feel that works great with wood and metal finishes. I paired it with simple white cabinets and some open shelving and it completely transformed the corner into a cozy, lived-in space. Since it’s peel-and-stick, it was easy to apply and adjust. It holds up great even with humidity from cooking. Here’s the one I used: https://california-wallpaper.com/products/boho-red-stamps-self-adhesive-traditiona – honestly, a great way to add character without overdoing it.

Red can be a truly powerful accent, but when used in the right proportions and paired well with the rest of the decor, it can look stunning! In a kitchen, where there’s usually a lot of activity, red will add energy and warmth. The key is to avoid overcrowding the space. You can use it on one accent wall to avoid making the room feel too heavy. If you like the boho look, warm red tones pair beautifully with natural materials and textures like wood and ceramics.

For even more inspiration, check out kitchen wall murals on https://fancywalls.eu/wall-murals/room/kitchen-wall-murals/. These wallpapers feature unique patterns that can make your kitchen not only stylish but also cozy. Plus, they come in a variety of colors, so you can find something that perfectly complements your red accent.

So don’t be afraid to experiment! The key is to find balance and enjoy the process.
