Hi Im interested in making a two piece mold for my railroad spikes. What would be the best method. 1) sit the spike upright in a plastic cup and pour alumni lite silicone until it fills to the top of spike or make a two piece mold laying 2nd mold on top of 1st. I need your help on the two piece mold??

Hi Lamar,

You will need to mold your spike lying down flat.  It needs to have a front half and a back half, not a top and bottom.  If you pour it all in one piece, you will have a difficult time demolding it.
