For those of you who use power tools or yard equipment regularly, how often do you end up replacing parts like belts, chains, or blades? Do you stick with OEM replacements or go third-party to save a bit?

I usually go with OEM parts for my chainsaw and mower. Tried a cheaper third-party belt once, and it wore out in half the time. If you’re using the equipment often, paying a bit more upfront saves hassle down the road. Plus, fit and performance are more reliable.

I used third-party replacements on my trimmer, and they dulled so fast I ended up buying OEM anyway. With my Husqvarna chainsaw, I stick to original parts because the performance difference is noticeable—especially during heavy work like clearing after storms. I once double-checked with Husqvarna customer support https://husqvarna.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html to confirm a part number, and it turned out they had a revised design that fit better and lasted longer. Sometimes, the brand really does know best when it comes to durability.
