Hello, I have spray painted my car with cheap spray cans and am not fussed about a perfect finish but want to protect the gloss and colour of the paint job from the sun. So when the paint dries, I’m planning to paint over it with a layer of casting resin.

Is this a reasonable idea? If so, any tips?

Hi Sam,

I wouldn’t do this with resin. It will be hard to contain the resin, plus it will soften with the heat of the sun.
