      Hello all,

I was testing out polyester resin yesterday for an upcoming project I want to do (a deep pour). I had been nervous to try it since I’ve never done a thick piece before (I usually use epoxy resin). The layers went beautifully until my very last one. There are curved or half moon shapes that formed around the edge all around the piece. I’m not even sure what this is (cracking maybe?) or what to call it, so I’ve been having a hard time researching the issue.

I’m pouring into a glass container to create an underwater landscape.

      Thank you in advance!

It sounds like your resin may have gotten too hot. Try using less hardener in the next pour.
