Hello all! I am making tiles for my kitchen backsplash and am going to cast them using Castin’ Craft resin. I did a demo tile in UV resin just to get my idea squared away. I would like to do part of it (the water area) in UV resin and cure it for finer control, and then pour the Castin Craft as a finishing layer. Will it eliminate? I figured it would be like embedding a resin object in the Castin Craft.
I have been taking pictures of the process, in case anyone is interested. 😏

Sorry…..that eliminate was supposed to be de-laminate. Darn Autocorrect!

I haven’t tried layering a different kind of resin over UV resin. I don’t know if it would work or not.

I am going to try it and let you know the results. I am just getting into working with resins and hope to make many interesting objects. I have used the UV resin to make soles for doll shoes, but I always seem to get the dreaded air bubbles in them.

Yes please, let us know how it goes. I’m anxious to hear.
