GuestI would like to try to make candied apples using red faux apples. Will one of your products make a clear, shiny coating to look like a candied apple? Thank you.

KeymasterThe simplest way to get a shiny finish is to use our resin gloss sealer spray. https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/tools-and-supplies/products/castin-craft-gloss-resin-sealer-spray It will leave a glossy finish, but it’s not going to look thick like resin.
If you want to try resin, I suggest the Resin Obsession crystal doming resin. You can buy it in our store here: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/resin/resin-obsession-crystal-doming-resin You’re going to have to prop the apple up and apply the resin. Using a tray like this to allow the resin to drip off the bottom: https://resinobsession.com/forums/topic/looking-for-tray-to-help-with-dripping-resin/

GuestIts funny because my fiance said it looks like some kind of resin on the apple..its flat/shiny. Id like it to pool around the bottom like a real candied apple so I dont think the spray will work…that might be what is on these since its so flat and shiny. Thank you I will check out the supplies. Im surprised no one has done these Ive seen plenty of the fake caramel apples which are easy using Modge Podge..maybe theres a reason!

GuestThats even easier then! Place the apples on some wax paper. Brush the resin on, then let it drip to the bottom. It will peel off the wax paper when its cured.
