To keep Sharpie marker from running I first coat with a varnish, then the resin. March 27, 2014 at 10:52 am #1170 Katherine SwiftGuest Yes, Rhea, it should work fine. You can see an example in this video on our you tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLd09wc7r3o&list=UUq9DbnfK7sFPe9kcUEtVYaQ July 19, 2018 at 6:44 pm #14444 Stacy WheelwrightGuest I have a wood plaque and people signed it with a sharpie. Can I resin over it without running the sharpie ink? July 20, 2018 at 10:57 am #14450 Katherine SwiftKeymaster I would seal it first. I have done well with paint pens, but the alcohol in the sharpies tend to make them bleed. This gloss sealer spray is what I like to use: https://shop.resinobsession.com/collections/tools-and-supplies/products/castin-craft-gloss-resin-sealer-spray Author Posts Viewing 2 reply threads The topic ‘Resin as a sealer?’ is closed to new replies.
