Hi there,

I am making candles out of recycled wine bottles and wanted to know if I have resin at the bottom of the base (where the dome is) to even it out (give it a flat surface), will the resin react poorly to pouring hot, melted wax onto it? Everything I have read says that the heat is not hot enough to melt the resin, but I thought it prudent to ask the experts before attempting.

I think it will be fine, especially if you use a polyester or polyurethane resin.
