I am brand new to using resin and I am trying to fill routed areas with colored resin, but every time I mix my resin 1:1 and then add the color and mix some more and I pour it into a test piece for now the resin cures and looks likes foam. The routing is only about 1/4 inch deep. I don’t know if I am doing something wrong, if it is to warm in the garage, if I have the wrong resin. Help a Disabled Vet trying to master a craft to help cope with severe PTSD.

Hi Jim,

It sounds like your wood is releasing air into the resin. You will need to seal the wood before applying the resin.
