I cant guarantee that you wont see seams, but if you pour the next layer when the resin has reached a gel thickness, and not fully cured, that will minimize your chances of seeing a seam.

Hi all!

I hope Ive put this in the right part of the forum, but I just had a quick question about how my resin would cure.

Im looking at doing a rather large piece (a large ball about 3″ and about 8floz.)  I was planning on casting it in layers, but my concern is that by casting it in layers, Ill be able to see the seams of each layer?  I dont want to waste any resin, because its quite expensive for me, so I just thought Id ask you guys who definitely have more experience!

TL;DR:

Can I cast my project in layers, or will there be visible seams?

Just wanted to add in that every layer will be the same colour!
