I am making resin plugs/gauges that are worn in the ear as jewelry. I have been researching, but I keep getting mixed signals about whether resin (Cast N Craft Polyester Resin) is safe for long term exposure to the skin. I hear that once cured, it is no longer toxic and is safe (I also use a spray sealant on the finished, cured product). But then I also hear that long term exposure to the skin will eventually leech cancerous toxins into the skin. I was wondering if I could get a definite answer on this matter, as I do not want to sell potentially dangerous ear jewelry.
Thank you.
