Hi there, I have seen some topics similar to this, but nothing quite like what I am trying to accomplish. I want to make ring molds for use with resin. I have made bangle forms from polymer clay using the technique outlined in Rona’s tutorial (https://www.resinobsession.com/molds-mold-making/how-to-make-your-own-bangle-bracelet-form-for-molding-in-silicone), and I am wondering if I could use the same process, on a smaller scale, to make ring forms. I want to make a simple ring band, so I think this is a feasible idea?
Hi Emily, yes, I would expect Rona’s technique to work well. Keep in mind that the surface of your clay ring will impart onto the mold. e.g. if you want a shiny ring, make sure your clay ring has a very smooth surface.
