I made a mold from a 3d printed piece and the mold picked up some of the tiny ridges that most 3d printed objects have. When I pour my UV resin in, its cures perfectly but pick up those ridges. I tried sanding them but its turning the piece white. Is there a way I can sand the ridges away without the piece turning white? Its supposed to be a clear piece.
I’d try painting the sanded surface with some more resin – the thinnest coat you can manage. It should make the surface smooth and thus clear again. Let us know how it works 🙂
