A really horrible experience. I booked the initial cleaning online. My cleaner arrived late and I have a high suspicion that she was using drugs. I’m an EMT, I know the signs. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was offered a credit towards another cleaning. I declined the offer and terminated our relationship. Now, months later, I find that I have been getting billed $51.20 per month for the past 4 months.
After contacting Customer Service (in name only), Emma informed me that I had joined some “ForeverClean” program and that there would be a cancellation fee.
There are so many house-cleaning options available, STAY AWAY FROM HOMEAGLOW !!!
They are a rip-off and should not be allowed to continue doing business. -

I can tell you with 100% assurance that those are not actual customers who otherwise have no attachments to this company. Always remember that you cannot trust glowing reviews that are written like ads. That’s because we, as marketing people, cannot get out of our own way when it comes to writing because our brains think in terms of advertisements and that’s the way our language comes out. Just remember: nobody pays for bad reviews. Never trust those glowing reviews that are written like they were commercials.

This is a bait and switch. This company knows exactly what they are doing. The advertisement on Instagram suggested that I could get my first cleaning at a discount, with a final price of $19. I signed up, was emailed a voucher, booked a cleaning, and was charged $20. I have never paid for a voucher that was supposed to give me a discount in my life. Then, after the cleaning, I was charged around $50.
I emailed the company to ask about this charge and was told that I had actually paid for the voucher while redeeming it and was automatically enrolled in a six-month contract where I would be charged around $60 each month. I was infuriated. I then asked about canceling and found out that to leave this “contract” early, I would have to pay the full amount for the next cleaning, which was $113. I ended up paying $200 for a three-hour cleaning just to get out of a contract. I tried asking for a refund and was refused. They only offered to give me money on my account to use their services again.
The sad part is that the cleaning itself was great, and aside from the cleaner unprofessionally messaging me after the service, I was planning on rebooking. Unfortunately, while I was receiving the additional charges, I panicked and wanted to cancel or at least reschedule my next cleaning so I could figure out what I had been charged and what future charges would be. After rescheduling, my cleaner texted me and said, “You should’ve booked me,” followed by three crying emojis. Completely unprofessional.
All that to say, beware when signing up for this service. The charges are not explicitly stated, and you have to search the entire website and fine print to get the real story. Read other reviews from the BBB and you will see similar experiences.
I will not be using this service ever again.
