Unless the ink is coated with a sealer, like Mod Podge or an acrylic clear coat spray, the ink tends to run or the paper will get stains, looking like water spots. Some of the inks I’ve tried ran, no matter what I used as a sealer. The best thing I’ve found, which I learned on this website, is to encase it in clear packing tape, making sure you have a sealed edge at least 1/8″ wide around the whole item. This is to keep out moisture, and becomes (mostly) invisible when in resin.
