I’ve been watching crypto mining trends for a couple of years but haven’t made the leap because of cost. Most miners that people recommend are way over $5,000, and that’s just not possible for me right now. Is there any entry-level hardware in 2025 that’s not junk but still affordable enough for someone starting out?

I had the same struggle not long ago and was surprised how many solid options there actually are. I focused my research around cheap bitcoin miners 2025 https://captainaltcoin.com/best-bitcoin-miners-in-2025-comparison-prices-and-expert-insights/ and found models like the iBeLink BM-S3 and Hashivo R9 that give decent hash rates for a fraction of the price. They won’t hit 150 Th/s, but if you’re okay with 35–50 Th/s and smart with electricity use, they’re totally workable. One thing to watch is noise—some cheaper models run loud. Also, double-check power supply compatibility; a lot of budget options cut corners there. What really helped was calculating cost per terahash and factoring in monthly electricity—those numbers gave me way more clarity than just upfront price. Start small, learn the ropes, then scale smart.
