Hello, I made my first resin piece (a plate) the other day and propped it on my tabletop, thinking it was a success. I’ve now realised that it is STUCK there, and cannot be moved. The bottom must have still been sticky. Any tips on how I can remove it without damaging the plate and wooden tabletop? It’s looking like a permanent fixture at the moment…
Oh no. How frustrating! You need to proceed with the idea that something is going to get ‘ruined’ either the plate or the tabletop.
I would get a heat gun (a hairdryer could work) and apply heat to the resin area where the plate joins the table. My best hope is that the resin will become rubbery and/or soft enough that you can snap it away — either from the plate or table.
