OK I am a newbie! I own it. I tried to do a wood and epoxy piece with a epoxy resin using clear packing tape as a mold. Well, now I cant seem to be able to get the tape off the epoxy. Should I try to use rubbing alcohol, or acetone? or wait 72 hours till fully cured and try to “sand” it off? Then use another coat of epoxy to fix all the scuffs?….Help!! BTW.. I used the Aluminite Amazing Clear Cast resin.
Hi Anne, I’m sorry to hear this is happening to you.
It’s hard to say what your best approach is at this time. If the resin is still gooey, you may be able to get the tape out, but you may also distort the shape of what you were casting.
At this point, without seeing your project, I would wait for things to fully cure, then try to cut the tape out. Build another tape dam and try to recast.
