      I think it’s not just card games that are becoming more popular, but all games you can play physically. That’s always how it goes. It’s like art and AI. When AI first appeared, everyone worried that human skills and talents would lose value. Now handmade things, compared to the massive amount of AI-generated stuff, are worth way more.

      Maybe people started remembering old puzzles more often too? Among my friends, who are actually quite young, there are many who solve crosswords, for example. Where did all those people go who used to party all night in clubs? Now they solve sudoku. Anyway, you get what I mean. It’s like everyone is tired of innovations, constant inventions, and wants something good old, just in a more convenient format.
