GuestThis question comes through email from Chris:
Hello I have been searching for a nice sparkling gold dye or powder pigment to create a gold layered resin pendant and was wondering if you could help me.
I found both of these gold resin pendants on etsy and was wondering if you knew what gold dye/powder product could be used to create the same exact glittery gold look. In the details of the product the seller says the resin was colored with a special pearlescent gold dye .After researching resin dyes and different coloring techniques for awhile I decided that it might be sparkling gold pearl ex metallic powder. What do you think was used for these gold pendants below? I am looking to get a project done for my mom for Mothers Day and dont have the money to spend on multiple gold powders/dye so hopefully you can help.

GuestThat is definitely Pearl Ex powder. It looks like the color "Brilliant Gold". If you have a Hobby Lobby near you they sell single bigger jars and you can use their 40% off coupon either by showing them the coupon on your phone, or printing it online.
