I have been making ponds for a while and decided to make miniature aquariums and coral reefs in glass. Some have worked fine but others break the glass. I have been using straight and fish bowl shaped glass containers which work fine but as soon as the weather gets warm the glass breaks. I am assuming the resin is expanding in the heat. Living in Australia there is little I can do about the heat. Is there any way to stop this?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to stop this. The glass will expand and contract with the heat (same thing happens with cold). Since the resin isn’t as flexible, the glass cracks. 🙁
