      Hi there!
I have seen various ways to create custom molds, ranging from mold putty to silicone sealant, and I’m not quite sure about any of them.
I probably won’t be making any online purchases in the next month or so, give or take; my current one should “keep me busy” for a bit, so I have decided to cross mold putty off of my list for now.
So, I turned to resin forums (like this one) and YouTube tutorials for an alternative, where I have found silicone sealant.
Supposedly, you are to mix soapy water (1:16 soap to water ratio, respectively) and place the sealant in the water, then knead and put in the object.
Just wondering, would this still work if I am wearing gloves? Also, if anyone has tried this, would you be willing to share some advice or warnings?
      Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, the silicone sealants don’t work well to make molds. You can see Mona of Craft Klatch’s results here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yt_66rZJlM Her resin castings stuck.
