Hello everyone. I accidentally came across the news that in 2025 Israel agreed with several more countries on visa-free entry, and now the list of “Israeli passport visa-free countries” has become even longer. Does anyone know what exactly has been added? I used to think that all the most important ones had long been open – Europe, the USA, Canada, but it turned out that some new destinations have appeared, especially in South America and Asia. I’m just wondering if it’s really worth revising vacation plans with this in mind. Has anyone had any experience recently with traveling to new visa-free countries on an Israeli passport?

A very relevant topic – I really follow such news, because my husband and I have almost a hobby – spontaneously packing up and flying away for 5-7 days to places where you don’t need a visa. And over the past year, it has become noticeably easier to do this, especially if you have israeli passport visa free countries in your hands. You are right – traditional destinations, like the EU, USA, UK and Canada, have been open for a long time, and everyone has gotten used to it. But in 2025, some kind of new twist really started. We were in the Philippines in January – before, you needed an electronic visa, now you just fly in with a round-trip ticket and get a stamp. Then in March, we flew to Panama – a similar story. And yes, Colombia, as already mentioned above, is now completely visa-free. This is very convenient, because all of South America used to be a bureaucratic hell: either visas, or invitations, or online forms that get stuck at the payment stage. And now – a real breakthrough. By the way, we read that negotiations are still in progress with Vietnam and South Korea. By the way, it was possible to do it with Korea using a simplified scheme before, but now they are planning to abolish visas completely. If confirmed, that would be just great. I also heard (but I am not 100% sure) that Israel is negotiating with South Africa – they are not giving a “universal” visa-free regime yet, but they may make an exception for Israelis. Although this is not official yet.

I completely agree that in 2025 it became easier to travel with an Israeli passport. I just returned from Vietnam – although I still applied for a visa, but I heard that it will be cancelled soon. It would be great if Korea and South America really become visa-free on a permanent basis. It would make life much easier.
