Hey, I would really appreciate some advice.
We are pouring a hollow pyramid shape out of resin. For a mold we have created a strong cardboard shape, and then we spray painted it until the finish was really smooth. We plan to create dams for the sides, and then pour one side at a time horizontally on top of the pyramid form. Remove one dam at a time, rotate, and then pour the next side. We wanted to avoid lines created by covering it with red tuck tape.
Will we be able to pour on that if we use a release? I’m thinking the resin will still want to stick to the spray painted surface. Is there something else we could apply to the surface?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!
