Hi Rob,

Wax, wax paper, and quality tape all work as a resists for resin. You can see a few examples in these articles:

Please note, depending on how you are using it, you may need to remove it when the resin is partially cured. (see the tumbler article above). Otherwise, the resist may be permanently adhered to the surface.
