Last month, I booked an Airbnb for a weekend getaway, but things quickly got suspicious. After confirming my reservation, the host emailed me asking for additional payment to “upgrade” my booking to a better room that wasn’t listed. They claimed it was a special offer, but something felt wrong since the payment had to be made outside the Airbnb platform. I ended up canceling the reservation because it seemed like a scam. I’m curious if others have had similar experiences and how they handled it?

Hi all! Helping travelers feel at home, no matter where they are, the online platform Airbnb has become the best choice among people looking for quality housing for a vacation. The company can meet the housing needs of almost any traveler, and this is its very big advantage. For those who have never used this platform and want to avoid airbnb scams many articles have been written about how to choose housing on the platform in order to get the best option at a reasonable price.
