hello resin people. i’m completely new to casting, and i want to make some dice to start with. for that i need to buy some resin, but there are so many kinds, and i find myself thoroughly confused.

i was hoping to buy a relatively big thing of resin to save money in the long run, so it’s important that i choose the right kind. does the brand matter? also, i live in sweden so i’m hoping to get something generic enough that i can buy it here.

ps. i’m also having trouble figuring out if i should use alcohol inks or pigments. what best for dice? pls help. thanks

      Hi Klara,

For dice, you will want to use a casting resin. It mixes thinner, making it easier to pour into molds with small openings. Unfortunately, we are limited in what we can ship to you in Sweden.

The Alumilite Amazing casting resin can ship to you in Sweden, but it cures opaque. You can see how I used it to make dice here: https://youtu.be/isDb4dJDlkk

If you want to try the resin and colors, you can get them here:
